Mission Russia

St. Luke’s Mission to Russia is from 4-18 October 2010. The team consists of Mark Jackson (Leader), Wesley van Zyl, Henrico Potgieter and Lucas Stoltz. They will be flying to Moscow and then visiting a few churches there and in other surrounding towns. Their ministry will mainly be to youth and drug addicts, but they will also do whatever ministry the local churches provide for them to do.

Please pray for:

  1. Safe travel to Russia; around Russia; and home from Russia.
  2. The Lord to draw close to the team during their time in Russia and for each of them to be deeply aware of His presence, His voice and His love.
  3. The Lord to fill their hearts with compassion and love for Russia and for all of the people they will meet and minister to.
  4. The Lord to grant them a “spiritual passport” to enter Russia as His ambassadors, and to fill their minds constantly with the awareness that they are representing Him to everyone they meet.
  5. The Lord to set up divine appointments for them with people who will need and respond to their ministry. These may be during formal ministry times or even just on the streets of the cities they will visit.
  6. A special heart of love for the many youth and drug addicts they will be ministering to as well as inspiration of ideas for how exactly to communicate the wonderful message and power of Jesus.
  7. The Lord’s anointing on them to bring deliverance and to be relevant to those they will minister to.
  8. Protection – spiritually, physically and emotionally while they are there.

We look forward to the team’s return with many testimonies of God’s grace and power!
